We are looking for a facilitator to organise Greenhithe Men’s Projects. This is a new part time paid opportunity for a facilitator to join the Greenhithe Community Trust team as an independent contractor.

The role is from February to December 2019 for an average of 5 to 10 hours per week. The concept will be launched as a pilot and could become a long-term role. It is like a Virtual Men’s Shed, with the potential for a shed in the future. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for men in the community to connect and enjoy working on community projects together. Possible project examples include helping complete a deck at the community hall, helping repair a local track, helping scouts maintain a boat…

Tasks:

  • Coordinate regular community projects
  • Build up a group of volunteers to work together on these projects
  • Network with other community groups as necessary

The successful candidate will have an energetic passion for people and be able to communicate well. They will be able to work unsupervised. They will be well organised and have good time management skills. An ability to empower volunteers is necessary. They have the option of working with other Trust facilitators particularly on project design and marketing. They would report to Martin Brown, Trust Operations Manager. A driving licence is essential. Ideally they would live in Greenhithe or close by.

Please send your CV to Martin Brown at martin@greenhithecommunitytrust.org.nz by 3 February, 2019. For info about the Trust see www.greenhithecommunitytrust.org.nz.
