WAINONI PARK PONY CLUB is made up of members from Greenhithe Pony Club, Whenuapai Pony Club and Rosedale Pony Club, and will be based at Wainoni Park, Greenhithe. Here is what has been going on in the Wainoni Park:

Work Completed

  • Vegetation clearance
  • Arena
  • Hard stand for storage containers
  • Earthworks for float parking
  • Loop road and subsoil drainage for loop road
  • Upgrades to grooming bay
  • Horse race earthworks and fencing

Work in Progress

  • Stormwater drainage
  • New club house and toilet block (due for completion January 2019)
  • Upgrades to holding stalls and wash-down area (due for completion mid-October)
  • Roof covering to row of containers (due for completion mid-October)
  • Additional paddock fencing (due for completion mid-November)
  • Reshape swales (due for completion end-October)
  • Arena lighting (due for completion mid-October)
  • Footpath around the arena

Upcoming Works

  • Paddock subsoil drainage, scheduled to commence November
  • Horse race lighting, scheduled to commence mid-October
  • Power pole installation for clubhouse, scheduled to commence mid-October
