New updates (a link to download the original communication letter from the constructor can be found at the end of this post):

On Greenhithe Road

  • Stop-go traffic management will be in place during the day, with temporary traffic lights in operation at night.
  • There will be no street parking adjacent to the work site.
  • Working hours will typically be from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and from 8am to 5pm on Saturdays. There may be critical works that need to be completed outside of these hours. If this is required, we will notify you in advance.
  • On Friday 1 November, we plan to reseal the section of road adjacent to Roland Road and Greenhithe Road. These works are weather dependant and cannot take place if it is raining.
  • Trench alignment will be on the school side of Greenhithe Road. Approximately half of Greenhithe Road will be fenced off due to construction works
  • At times access to driveways on Greenhithe Road will be restricted over night, but temporary parking will be made available to you during this time. We will endeavour to keep your driveway access open during the works. Should restrictions be required, we will work with residents as far as possible to address any concerns. Please advise if you have any specific issues that need to be considered.
  • If you do not typically park on the road overnight but will do so during construction, we advise that you inform your insurance company as a precaution.
  • On rubbish day please leave your bins on the berm and we will move them for the rubbish truck to collect. Please make sure they are clearly numbered so we can bring them back.
  • Traffic management personnel will assist people with access to their properties. The bus route will be unchanged, but bus stop locations will be temporarily relocated further along the route.
  • We aim to be completed to Wainoni Park by March 2020.

On Greenhithe Primary School and Sunnyview Road

  • As we approach Greenhithe Primary School, we are entering a very congested area before and after school times. Our traffic management personnel work hard to ensure that the public is safe around our works sites, but we do ask for your patience and cooperation during this time. We have worked with Greenhithe Primary School to provide a safe and alternative route, please see the reverse of this letter for details.
  • Sunnyview Road will be closed between Greenhithe Road and Outlook Road on 11 November for a duration of five weeks, except for school drop off and pick up from Outlook Road. Sunnyview Road will be open to residents only during this time, with no parking on one side of the road.
  • Greenhithe Primary School staff will monitor the pedestrian crossing before and after school to ensure the safety of the children.
  • An additional walking school bus will be established for the duration of these works. The school will provide additional details.
