New updates (links to download the original communication letters from the constructor can be found at the end of this post):
– Greenhithe Road
- On one evening between 26 to 28 November, we (Fletcher Construction) will bring a crane into site to lift a large concrete chamber into the ground adjacent to Sunnyview Road. During this operation, Greenhithe Road will be closed to through traffic between Isobel Road and Roland Road between the hours of 10.45pm and 4.00am to accommodate the buses using this route. Residents will be able to access their properties during this time.
- These works are weather dependant and cannot take place if it is windy.
– Rahui Road
- Power and fibre services located overhead at Rahui Reserve will be relocated underground next week, works will commence on 22 November;
- The Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) site has been established at Rahui Reserve and specialised equipment is now on site. The next phase of works is to float a pipe from Causeway to Rahui Reserve. Once the pipe has arrived at Rahui Reserve, it will then be pulled back into the ground and will make its way back to the Causeway.
- This process is one of three critical times that the operation is required to continue until the specific task is complete. This is likely to take 16-20 hours. Working hours are from 6.00am on Saturday 23 November and will continue until finished. A generator and excavator will be in operation during this process.
- The fenced construction area is a very busy area with specific hazards. Please adhere to all exclusion zones and do not enter site at any time.
- Temporary traffic management will continue to be on site to control all traffic movement into/out of Rahui Road.
If you have any questions regarding these works, please email Stakeholder Manager Claire Donnelly at NIproject@water.co.nz or phone directly on 021 607774.
